It's a very different court. I'm just glad we get that day of practice [on the court] because it helps you to get your mentality right. It actually might be a comfort zone for us since we've played in that facility before.
We weren't energized, we didn't have any energy. Our offense wasn't clicking the way it should have been, and our defense wasn't the best. It was just the time that we needed to pick it up, especially in the second half.
I feel good about it. I think I've worked hard enough to be deserving of this. It's just a joy being able to go into other states and have people know who you are and appreciate what you're doing for the women's game.
We showed a lot of heart and a lot of guts just to keep fighting through the difficult times that we had when Sylvia was out and our offense was struggling. Just to be within 3 going into half says a lot about us and our character.
I think a lot of times we got caught standing in the paint, so there wasn't a lot of opportunity for the perimeter players to drive. Once we spaced the court and screened and cut - do the things we do - it was difficult for them to keep up.
